Vintage Agento
Anthony Franciosa plays Peter Neal, an American mystery novelist who travels to Rome to plug his new book,"Tenebre". While there, the police enlist his help in solving a series of brutal slayings. Seems the killer's M.O. is right out of the pages of Neal's latest book! If you're not familiar with Argento's films but want to be, this (along with the incredible "Suspiria")is one to check out. All of Argento's trademarks are on display here: dazzling camera work, intensely gruesome murder set-pieces, and a pulse-pounding music score by three members of the rock group GOBLIN. And it's great to see it uncut and widescreen on DVD after all those years of the butchered version we had to settle with on VHS that was known as "Unsane" (one of the dumbest titles in film history).
