A great Carter Wong movie (and they weren't all great either)! Better than 18 Bronzman, BUT retaining the irresistible and unstoppable Polly Shan Kuan! They even threw in Dorris Lun Jun Er for good measure. This is a highly charged fight-ladden adventure revolving around a monk who has been expelled from Shaolin and the subsequent murders that follow (years later) at the monastary. I can't recall the monk's name, but he had been expelled because of his desire to be the best fighter. He typically crippled his opponents [well, as they said in Prodigal Son "Theres no such thing as a friendly competition!"] and hence was kicked out (he maims five Wu Dang swordsmen). He's ok with that, but when monks start dying years later he sends his student (Carter) to investigate - and Carter winds up getting blamed! I not only like this movie, but find it oddly 'watchable', meaning simply that its good for several viewings- a real keeper. Choreography is pretty good, but not amazing. This is a real 'late nighter'! Movies with higher ratings from me don't get watched as often. on my scale I give it 7.5 out of 10 for viewing pleasure. Matt
