PROSTITUTION & PEDOPHILIA
Prostitution & pedophilia are the charming themes in this 1964 noir from legendary director Sam Fuller. Constance Towers, a willowy blond in the Deneuve mold, is an ex-prostitute trying to start a new life as a nurse in a small town. She almost marries the town's richest man until she discovers he's a stinking scumbag child molester. But no fears, mate--she knows how to handle this piece of crap. Fuller's films are almost always "full" of original touches and this one is no exception. From the memorable opening scene in which Towers beats the bejesus out of her pimp, to the unexpected references to Goethe and Byron and the musical excerpts from Beethoven, this film will intrigue even the most jaded viewer. And, oh yes, what exactly is a "naked kiss"--aside from being about the nastiest title Fuller could sneak past the censors? Sorry, you'll just have to watch it yourself. Want more Fuller?
