<[:-} you might want to dial back on the "g-malt"
obviously, this movie isn't shakespeare. aimed at the add generation, its an inconsistent maelstrom of anti-capitalism, nihilism, lysergicism, juvenile scatalogism, armed stripper revolutionista eroticism, a hint of glue huff-ism, and startling pagan spiritualism (so incongruous in this irreverent context that it comes across as being tongue between cheeks). i enjoyed it a lot. "bbsc" uses dynamic animation with innovative elements, such as drawing characters in a lighthearted anime style to depict moments of simple joy. the rock score, using music from (?), is edited well and is effective. the evil ceo of "g-mart" has conspired with president skinner (of both the usa and the world) to buy christmas. santa claus is choking on sell-out sickness and goes on the lam, holing up in "the butt hutt," a strip joint where "the bikini bandits" work. their leader just happens to be his daughter, a stripper who rips off g-marts between sets, and she and the other bandits go on a mission to "save christmas." "starring" tool's maynard james keenan and rapper schoolly d, "bbsc" gleefully savages liberal ethnic sensitivity, and is certain to offend russians, "nips," whites, blacks, and just about anyone else. the only black not represented as a gangsta allied with g-mart is an extremely offensively depicted sad sack named "bitch." before its over, the queen of the zombie ho's has possessed the body of the lead gangsta, grown to gigantic proportions, gone on a godzilla rampage, and been sucked into the inter-dimensional gateway of the opening of santa's sack. ralph bakshi would probably find it a bit too edgy. the extensive dvd extras are somewhat disappointing, intriguing but undeveloped concepts and hit-or-miss offensive comedy. the "your brother needed a tuxedo" joke in the "christmas special" has always been one of my favorites. the "burning tire" bit went over my head altogether. from the title and the context i assumed it would refer to the charming "necklace" used as a terror device in late apartheid era south africa, but i guess not.
