Halloween
Come on? Do I really need to comment? This is without a doubt amoungst the top five horror movies of all time if not the very best. John Carpenter's best movie in my opinion. A master at work with a serious Hitchcockian feel. Michael Myers is the ultimate boogeyman. This film is nothing short of genius.

This is "the" scary movie.
One of the finest horror films produced. Made in the 'Psycho' mode in that spectator anxiety and suspense explode from the screen. This film actually produces more viewer tension than 'Psycho', perhaps because of the unforgettable music score associated with the movie. The story opens as Michael Myers' parents discover him shortly after he had murdered his sister on Halloween night in 1963. Michael is sent to a sanitarium where he is placed in the care of Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence). Michael escapes and returns to his hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois with Dr. Loomis in hot pursuit. He reins terror on this once peaceful community. All evil entities of other films: 'Friday the 13th', 'Nightmare on Elm Street', etc, pale in comparison with that produced with 'Halloween.'

The best in the Slasher Genre.
While I am an avid Friday the 13th fan, and an arguer that Jason could kill Freddy, Micheal Meyers, Chucky, and Leatherface, I bow to John Carpenters orignal Halloween film over all Friday films for its the orignal, and all others while good in some instances are just followers of the formula. Very Creepy, with that damn EVIL Music that just sticks in your head, part 2 basically bookends Part 1 and makes one big movie. BUT FOR ALL THAT IS HOLY NEVER SEE PART 3!!!!!
