"Ah, Me!" wept Achilles. And me too after I realized that this was just a movie with too much sillyness. Keith Allison wrote: "Set during World War II, Liu's character is given a secret map by a dying rebel fighting the occupying forces from Japan. The monk is pestered by a couple petty criminals who think he is carrying a treasure map instead of a strategic one, and to make things even more of a pain as he tries to reach the rebel headquarters to deliver the map, the Japanese have all sorts of gun-toting toadies running after him." The movie tries to be funny and fails miserably. There are some very good fight sequences, and I love the villains! They make the movie shine when they're on - thank God a good villain can often offer such potential. Lily Li - fierce and lovely- plays the partner and lover of Captain Wang (played by Chia-Liang Liu), - and boy are they good at kicking ass! If not for them I'd consign this flick to the flames. No its not terrible, but you can't see a flick like Dirty Ho and see this movie as acceptable.
