<[:-\ i kicked myself when i realized "silence of the lambs" was on ch. 58 while i watched this
the technological wonders of digital video allows those of you that just want to see marissa "diabolik" mell (briefly) nude to skip directly to 0:16:45 and 0:38: 50 (best one). she's nine years older (38), and pretty much at the peak of her screen sexuality. they should also take the time to check out the lengthy nude scene beginning at 1:24:55 featuring who i'm guessing is maria pascucci. i'm not a big fan of italian exploitation movies, and this 1977 crime thriller didn't win me over. the introduction of the hero worshipping, marissa menacing male character "bimbo" makes it pretty clear it is conflicted sexuality that inspires gratuitous granny gunning rapist "nanni" to such violent impulses. aimed at the 42nd st. crowd, "beast..." splits the difference between fodder for homophobic "death wish" devotees and those who might be attracted to a pretty boy sociopath. can anyone read "helmut burger" and not think "meathead?" this was a strange weekend. the day after i returned this film the paper had an article about how kentucky was trying very hard get somerset to be the site of the relocated plum island animal disease research facility that featured in the plot of "the silence of the lambs."
