Excllent kung-fu/ 'Horror'
Well, the 'Excllent kung-fu/ 'Horror' bit relates more to Mantis Fists, and not Dual of the Brave Ones, which is more of a 70's bell-bottem-fu picture (not bad, but not easy to sit all the way through, despite the added presence of Wilson Tong). Mantis Fists is more of a period piece and stars John Long, Dean Shek, Sabrina Sai and Nick Cheung and involves a brother's attempt to find and rescue his sister form a brothel. While doing so he developes a love interest with another woman who has a grave secret. Also guest stars Eddie Ko, as the Hung Clan member with the spikes coming out his back! Not a typical kung-fu movie because of the B camp horror, but it is an interesting and experimental effort- def. worth seeing if not picking up (very rare title). I give the disc overall 7.5 out of 10. Matt
