the full u.s. title of this thing is “hitch-hike: last house on the left.” i don’t remember a single house in the whole film. however, it does trump the wes craven film at its own game. the comic amorality is delivered much more effectively. the actors have much more charisma. the whole film is much more focused and confident. corinne clery [!] ups the rapesploitation factor by the megatons. her character, who “is a bit of a whore” responds ecstatically to her drunken leech husband’s contemptuous abuse, and seems to like the kidnapper / rapist even more. this is a horrible film, but essential viewing for fans of the genre.

"Horrible Film"???
Come on, I live for movies like this. David Hess has gotta be one of the most underrated actors out there (Drool scene from "Last House"). Not to mention the fact that films like this aren't made anymore. I would watch "Hith Hike any day over the current crop of "Horror" movies.
