this is the first time i’ve rented a video based on the cover “art,” and i got burned! i had this movie on my list, but what put me over the top was the presumed color still on the back that had what appears to be russ meyer fantasy jeri ryan (star trek: voyager, boston public) in one of her might as well be body paint 7 of 9 costume with a druggy, insipid, grotesquely painted female face tacked on. not the modestly proportioned woman in a tight but ill-fitting body suit in this crappy b&w movie. this is touted as an ed wood contemporary movie. it does have his incompetence, and some of his weird seediness, but not his flamboyant eccentricity. all the women have devineish plucked eyebrows. one of the men looked like he’d been tweezed also.
