TAKE A HIKE, UNCLE ERNIE
UGH! THIS SEEMS TO NOTHING BUT A CREEPY S&M SPECIALTY FETISH FILM. THE BIZARRE "HISTORY" LESSON THAT PADS IT OUT IS WACK. ITALY WAS THE ONLY INDUSTRIALIZED NATION TO EMERGE FROM WWII WITHOUT AT LEAST THE PRETENSE OF DEMOCRACY. THIS FILM WAS MADE IN A COUNTRY RULED BY AN OPENLY FASCIST DICTATORSHIP!

Black Sexploitation!
Having just viewed "Goodbye Uncle Tom", I was surprised at the amount of nudity that is depicted in the film. I actually saw this film in its opening week in Times Square in New York City, 1972. Basically, it was the X rating and the subject of slavery that attracted me to the film. I had no real opinion of it at the time. There were a lot of bad movies about slavery out at the time. I just watched the video last week, 33 years later. This time I notice how much the camera stayed on the nubile bodies of the black slaves. There are so many bouncing breasts, hanging penises, and bare buttocks, that one would think you were watching a porn movie. On the extras that are featured on the DVD, there is more nudity. There seems to be a lot of naked black men being photographed "behind the scenes". And I do mean "behind"! Again, there are gratuitous shots of well-hung black men parading about while off camera. This being Haiti, 1970's, I was surprised at the men's cavalier attitude about their nudity and the fact that they were being filmed. After all, the majority of the naked slaves in the film were played by the ferocious "Ton Ton Macoutes", Duvalier's sadistic, and macho guards. Go figure! Anyway, it is obvious that the cameramen were enamored of all this black flesh and exploited every chance they got

History of Slavery
Film is very over the top but explores a taboo subject in America, breeding farms people buying sex slaves, raping the slaves stuff that must have been rampant in those days. I would say the average American knows little or nothing about what actual slavery would really be like. This gives a little taste of what it would be like to be property.........

WAKE UP BLACK MAN!
THIS FILM MUST BE DUPLICATED, OVER AND OVER AGAIN, AND PASSED OUT, FOR FREE IN THE BLACK GHETTOS OF AMERIKKKA, SCHOOLS, COLLEGES, CHURCHES, MOSQUES, AND WHEREVER THE SO-CALLED NEGRO LIVES AND STRIVES. THIS IS A MUST-SEE FILM. IT SHOULD BE VIEWED IN ALL AMERICAN HISTORY CLASSES IN HIGH SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITIES. I HAVE NEVER WITNESS SUCH TRUTH IN STATEMENTS AND IMAGES OF THE PLIGHT OF THE AFRIKAN SLAVE. THE MASSES OF THE PEOPLE MUST SEE THIS. BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. X

Goodbye Uncle Tom is a genius reality check 4 our race. We may live in the white mans land & call it hme, bt in doing that we deny the essence of our being. We r a people descended of true soldiers, people who fought just to b allowed to breath of the white man and his god. For it is them who view god as a white god & it is by this god that they justified slavery. This world is so obviously nt for the brown skin descendants of the creator and it is for us and his true caucasion children that he died. evil will claim bk his children when good collects his.

MISUNDERSTOOD
This film is a reality check for blacks that should be shown everywhere. It saddens me that people only see the surface of the film -- the NUDITY, the black male members and the vulgar images. But the truth is, that was and still is the white man's obsession. Penile envy. That God IS WHITE and so long as he is WHITE, the white man rules. The film is careful to connect the dots!!! Pay close attention to the dialogue, else you'll be easily swayed by the images. Don't be fooled into thinking this film is an exploitation of black people -- it's the exact opposite!

Snuff Film
This movie is more historically innacurate than Mels Gibsons "Passion of the Christ". This is obviously an attempt to incite racial hatred. I'm not saying slavery was "easy" but this is an over exaggerated snuff film. Stick to Roots.
