Pretty stupid, but a classic nontheless
I didn't like this movie, but it does feature the infamous DR. WHO and ELEMENT X! LOL! Mecha-Kong is a joke and so is Kong.

I want this video in English if anyone has it.
I watched this as a kid when it first came out, and I had a crush on the woman in the film ever since. I've seen it once or twice on Cable, but never knew ahead of time. I would love to have a copy. Please email me at Palmpilotfan@yahoo.com if you have one.

AWESOME entertainment
This movie is an absolute classic, a perfect creation of how good the old monster movies were. Yes, it's ludicrous, but that's what makes it so fun. One of the most enjoyable movies of its type.......everything from that Dr. Who guy always throwing his men out of tghe control chair, his constant switching of which KONG (the real or his robot) is the more superior. That, coupled with those ridiculous bright eyes that the robot uses from time to time to blind Kong. Great stuff.

Cheesily awesome!
King Kong Escapes truly is quite unique; it has everything - rubber monsters, cheesy sets, token americans and an evil doctor to boot! Add Mecha Kong into the mix and there's a whooole lot of fun to be had! Yes, there is bad dubbing - some of the voices go silent, some in japanese and some when noone's mouth is moving! BRILLIANT!!! This is a nachos & beer film for a Friday night, just sit back, swtich off and most of all - ENJOY!! :)
