other than catherine deneuve's blurry breasts, the main interest here is the intentionally bad dubbing attributed to "les frenchies." its pretty obvious they got high and improvised all the dialogue, goofing around with the vocal inflections. i have no doubt they found themselves very amusing. it gets tiresome pretty quickly. the transfer is very bad, worse than most of the italian horror i've seen on vhs, and that is very bad. the "hero" grieves his wife's and daughter's murders by trying to rape catherine deneuve, who instantly switches moods from crying victim to aggressor. there is a "gun nut" character that has a mix tape of romantic music overdubbed with animal mating calls. a biker chick winds up semi-nude. there's a creepy, bow-tie wearing rapist that likes to tape record his assaults. another time, i might have enjoyed it, but i found the boredom to psychotronia ratio to be unacceptably high.
